JUNIOR PROM 2009

Sorry it has taken me so long to post this. Prom was the 25th. I had a great time!! For our day date we went to Red Fleet and had a picnic. We also played soccer, skipped rocks, and watched part of a movie before we had to leave. When I say we, I mean my group: Scott Anderson, Jade Johnson; Jordan Evans, his date named Chelsey; and Travis and me. Where it was my junior year, Travis I decided to do promenade. (Well, more like our parents decided for us that we were going to do it.) There were a lot of couples who did promenade. I want to say the total amount was around 40, but I can't remember exactly. The dance was taught by cheerleaders, so it was NOT a formal dance. It was basically a modern hip hop dance with a partner. In my personal opinion it should have been the waltz or something formal like that...but it wasn't. The actual prom dance was fun. We had a local band play for a half an hour at the dance. And let me just say, they are pretty good, but the school's sound system is AWFUL! Jordan Evans, who was in our group for the day date took pictures of the dance for the Vernal Express, and Travis and I had a picture of us dancing in the paper.

The picture of Jordan holding a rock, is because while we were skipping rocks we found a rock with a slug on it. He went around calling it a "booger" and tried to keep it alive by putting water in a Gatorade lid. It was hilarious!
